War Games Tournaments

Each event is €5 or €10 for the weekend. Wargames are located in the Astra Hall

Age of Sigmar:

As the forces of order, chaos and death battle to determine the fate of the Warhammer world, we stand around to make idle chit chat and witty trash talk.

A round robin tournament.

Saturday 10-5

40K:

In the future there is only war. Well, war and prizes. Well, war and prizes and bragging rights.

A round robin tournament to prove that you’re the best at moving little plastic space men.

Sunday 10-6

X-wing:

“Red leader standing by”. “Stay on target”. “Hello there”.

Ensure your opponents fear the might of your fully armed and operational battle fleets in this round robin tournament.

Painting:

Ah painting, probably the most relaxing part of warning. Being able to switch off and focus on something small for hours on end.

That’s not how this is going to roll. We provide a mini, you bring your paints. One hour to work with, best job wins!

Conspiracy 2: Take the crown draft

The throne lies empty, will you take it? In this throwback draft we will be revisiting the high city of Paliano in a bout for control. Make use of conspiracies that twist the rules against your foes. Trade votes and spread your attacks to manipulate the game in your favour. Seize the crown and give yourself a greater edge- if you can keep it; the crown brings power but also the attention of those ambitious enough to take power for themselves… A perfect event for both newer players and the more experienced alike.

Entry €10

Board Games Tournaments!

This year we’re running not one, not two but three different boardgames tournaments over the course of the con: 30 Seconds, Love Letter, and Settlers of Catan. Entry comes at the low low price of €2 with prizes in the form of tickets for the Prize Wall!

30 Seconds:
30 seconds is a super speedy little game in which your general knowledge is put to the test, much like charades this less cringy version of heads up sees the players taking it in turns to explain up to five different words on the cards drawn without using even part of the original word! The player who reaches the end of the board first by getting the most correct answers from your team mates wins! Sounds easy, right? Wrong! (-ish) handicaps make the game a little more changing for those with a competitive streak! Have you got what it takes?

Saturday 11-1, Entry €2

This game consists of 16 cards and can be played by up to 4 people, the goal of the game is to be the only suitor to prevail in the quest to deliver the fair princess Annette her love letter. On each turn the player picks up a card and plays a card hoping to reveal the final card in the hand of one of your team mates to knock them from the game. All you must do is choose (and guess!) wisely.
